My Pain Is Going Away

testimonial          Having a history of cancer of the brain and the spine, I had a lot of pain in my neck and my back.  All of my friends noticed that I was not only having a hard time with cancer but also with the pain.

One of my friends told me about Dr. Horning and I said I would try it out.  Since coming here I’ve been starting to come off my pain pills.  I have found that my whole body (especially my back and neck) feels better and my pain is going away.

The one type of milk you should drink

The one type of milk you should drink

By William Campbell Douglass II, MD

Organic supermarket milk is better than regular supermarket milk, according to new research. Big whoop — a puddle of rainwater is better than regular supermarket milk, because regular supermarket milk is pasteurized.

That means it’s heated and treated until all the nutrients are cooked right out of it. It’s a crime against food, if you ask me.

Organic supermarket milk goes through that same heat treatment. But since it’s better from the start, it’s a little harder to ruin — and that’s why tests on 400 milk samples find organics have a much healthier ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids.

So, yes, it’s better. But not by much — and in some ways, organic milk can be even worse.

If you’ve noticed anything about the organic milk label other than the price, it’s the expiration date.

It often lasts for weeks longer than regular milk.

This is not because it’s fresher, and it’s not because it’s better. It’s because it’s more expensive. They want it to last longer on the shelf so they can milk every last cent out of it — so instead of simply pasteurizing it, they ULTRA pasteurize it.

That means it’s cooked at even higher temperatures.

While some of the omega-3 fatty acids survive this heat assault, as the new study shows, the process still kills off just about everything else — essential vitamins, good bacteria and critical enzymes (including the enzymes you need to properly digest that milk).

What this really means is that organic milk is not a step closer to farm-fresh raw milk, as most people assume. If anything, it’s a step FURTHER away.

Don’t be fooled.

The best milk for you — the ONLY milk for you — is natural farm-fresh raw milk, straight from the cow. It’s nature’s best cure for everything from allergies to autism, and for my money it tastes a heckuvalot better, too.

The powers-that-be have made raw milk tough to find, but not impossible. Do your homework, and you’ll almost certainly find a source near you.

Hope this helps,

Dr. Horning

I Feel Like A New Person

testimonial I feel like I am a new person after seeing Dr. Horning for the last 3 months.

For years I’ve been asking doctors to help me feel better.  They would treat minor symptoms, but find no real reason for why I feel so bad.  The diagnosis they finally decided upon was one they wouldn’t treat because of my family history.  I started to feel like I was imagining how bad I felt because they were prescribing anti-depressants.

Dr. Horning, within a few visits, diagnosed physical problems, started to treat them, and provided me with a diet regimen that I could follow, and made me feel so much better.

Within two months I felt normal again, with enough energy to keep up with my family and the activities I’d been missing out on.  Because of Dr. Horning’s care and an exercise program I feel like I’ve been given a second chance.

I can’t recommend him enough!

Proper Sprinting and Warm-Up Techniques to Optimize Your Workout and Avoid Injury

Proper Sprinting and Warm-Up Techniques to

Optimize Your Workout and Avoid Injury

  image006

A recent study found 8-second bursts of sprinting followed by 12-second recovery phases for a total of 20 minutes, three times a week, helped men lose as much as four pounds of visceral belly fat in just three months. This is the type of fat associated with heart disease

Using aerobic exercise, such as continuous jogging, you need to exercise 7 hours per week for 14 weeks to produce a similar decrease in visceral fat

Benefits of high intensity interval training include improving insulin sensitivity, virtually eliminating type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and optimizing cholesterol ratios when combined with proper diet. It also naturally boosts your HGH levels, increases aerobic capacity and boosts fat metabolism Source: Bloomberg June 27, 2012

Is It Good to Sweat?

image005Your body releases sweat to help regulate its body temperature to prevent you from overheating

Sweating also helps your body to eliminate toxins, which supports proper immune function and helps prevent diseases related to toxic overload

Sweating may help kill viruses and bacteria that cannot survive in temperatures above 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit, as well as on the surface of your skin

Virtually any type of intense exercise will prompt you to sweat, but you can also induce sweating via a sauna, either traditional or infrared

Be sure to replace fluids and electrolytes after a session of heavy sweating. Source: NYTimes.com December 27, 2013

Health Benefits of Organic vs. Conventional Milk

image001New research showed that organic milk contained 25% less omega-6 fats and 62% more beneficial omega-3 fats than conventional milk.

Those who drank conventional milk had a 2.5-fold higher omega-6 to omega-3 ratio than those who drank organic milk (a higher ratio is linked to chronic disease)

Organic milk also contained greater amounts of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), a cancer-fighting fatty acid

Organic milk is much more likely to come from cows that have been (at least partially) grass-fed, which is linked to more nutritious milk.Source: PLOS One December 9, 2013
